When to go for this test?
If you are having symptoms of Anemia or you are receiving any kind of medications or treatments that can affect your red blood cells then the medical experts may suggest you to go for a total RBC test. Apart from that, the test is also performed as a part of any routine health test.
A certain amount of blood will be fetched from your vein, on which the test will be performed.
No specific preparations are required to appear for this test. However, you must inform the pathologists if you are undergoing any treatment or any specific medical condition. You may consult a pathology lab to know more about the total RBC test price.
The test result will show that your RBC count is too low or too high in the body. Dehydration, stress, smoking, high altitude, alcohol consumption, cardiovascular problems etc can be the reason for high RBC in the body, on the other hand, malnutrition, pregnancy, Anemia, rapid bleeding, chronic kidney failure etc can be the reason for low RBC count.
