What is a Lipase test?
A Lipase test’s purpose is to diagnose pancreatic disorders. This test is also used to monitor acute or chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and celiac disease.
When to get tested?
Your doctor may recommend a Lipase test if you have symptoms of pancreatic disease such as fever, nausea, abdominal or back pain, or loss of appetite.

Result interpretation

- A low lipase level indicates the presence of chronic pancreatitis or cystic fibrosis.
